Tom & Katy Cornell

Tom and Katy Cornell are the founding pastors of SOZO Church and leaders of a growing network of ministries focused on advancing the Kingdom of God in everyday life.

Married for nearly two decades, they carry a deep passion to see people experience God’s power and presence now—not just in eternity. Their journey in ministry began in 2007, helping plant a church while in college, and quickly expanded to the nations after responding to a call to Burkina Faso, West Africa.

In 2009, they founded Walk In The Light International, which has helped establish schools, health centers, wells, and churches—bringing both practical support and the Gospel to communities in need. In 2011, they planted their first church, and in 2019 launched SOZO Church, which has since grown into a thriving apostolic hub.

Through SOZO Church, various nonprofits and their training schools, they equip people to walk in freedom, identity, and Kingdom purpose. Tom is an author focused on helping believers live transformed lives, and Katy is actively engaged in government, leading a campaign consulting company and running for State Representative in Washington.

They have three children and reside in Gig Harbor, Washington.
